RULE NISI.
T HE petition of Thompson Collins shewefh, that
Elijah H. Reid, Janies P. Heath, and Michael
Brown, heretofore, to wit: on the 9th ofFebriiary eigh
teen hondred and thirty-one, made, executed, and de-
livered to your petitioner their entire deed of mortgage,
conveying thereby to your petitioner, nil those two
tracts of land, situate, lying and being in the fourth
Districtofsaid county, and known and distinguished in
the plan of the same, as Lots No, 27, and 28, in the
fourth District, containing tour hundred, eighty-seven
and ono half Acres, more or less, which Lots of Land
were mortgaged to your petitioner for the hotter secur
ing the payment of a certain promissory note, made by
the said Elijah II. Ri ed to your petitioner for the sum
of two thousand dollars, payable on the first of July,
eighteen hundred and thtrty-one, and dated the ninth
ttf September, eighteen hundred and thirty, and now
here shewn to the Court; and your petitioner further

Michael Brown, do pay into the Clerks Office of this
{Tourt, the amount of the principal and interest now
due, or which may become due on said note and mort-
gage, together with all cost which hath or may accrue
herein, within six months from the date hereof, that the
equity of redemption in and to the said mortgaged pre
mises be henceforth and forever barred and foreclosed.
Whereupon, on motion of Samuel A. Woles, attorney
for petitioners, it is ordered by the Court, that unless
the amount of principal, interest and cost, now due nr
to become due on said note and mortgage, bn paid into
the Clerks Office of this Court within the time afore,
said, that the equity of redemption in, and to said
mortgaged premises, be thenceforth and forever bar
red and foreclosed. And it is further ordered, thnt n
copy of this rule ho published once a month for six
months in some one of the public Gazettes of this State,
or be personally served on the said Elijah II. Ried,
James P. Heath, and Michael Brown, three months be
fore the expiration of this rule.

RULE NISI.
O N motion of Isaac Rawls, stating to tho Court
that Robert Venable, deceased, in his life time
executed to your petitioner a Bond binding himself to
make titles to a Tract or parcel of Land, situate, lying
and being in the county of Jackson, a copy of which
bond is filed in the Clerk’s office of thin court,and pray
ing that this Court direct lames M. Cunningham, Exe
cutor of tho F.state of said Robert, to execute titles to
the tame. It is therefore, ordered, that tho Executor
of said Robert, do make said titles according to the
tenor and eficct of said Bund to said Isaac Rnwl»,
unless sufficient cause he ahutvit to the contrary, with
in three months, or at the next Term of this Court, af
ter the expiration of three months.
And it is further ordered, that a copy of this Rule bo
published once a month,for three months; and also a
copy of the same be posted up al two or more public
places in said county.

fff’lHE people of Georgia are much in want of i TO e.
.1 (limn of intelligence which will promptly transmit
to them the “ Proceedings” of their Legislature. We
are not only generally, but individually concern*! in
nil nets of legislation, because these acts involve per-
sonut as well as political rights, between which then:
exists a most intimate connexion. It is the interm
then, of ev»*rv man in the community to be timely ic-
quainled with tin* action ofonr representatives u|><a
these rights. This is a desideratum— to supply winch
the Journal is intended. At the present w e labor under
much inconvenience for the want of it. For mar, and
sometimes more than three months after the expiration
ofthe Session, the Laws of the State, with a few rxcep-
timis, are as a “ scaled Book” to the great mass of the
S l«;; and frequently, such are the injurious eflects
irod by this delay, that men have been known,
who, in obedience to a preceding, have actually viola,
ted n subsequent law w hich hud been reversed or modi*
tied—not knowing that a new had been substituted PI
for an old low.
In addition to \)ie entire proceedings.^?the Legislature,
the Journal and History, will contain the general In
telligence of the day, and its interest will be incieased
by faithful reports «if the transactions of the important
Redress Convention of Georgia, which contemplates
sitting in MiHcdgeville, the ensuing session. The De
bates in the Convention, as well as those in the Legis
lature, will bo rtgnlarlyand correctly reported; for
which purpose arrangements are making w ith a capa
ble and experienced Stenographer.
The Journal ami I'nronv ofthe Times, will be
published dailv, and the Legislative and Conventional
Proceedings of each day laid in exlenso bufoie the pub
lic on the subsequent rimming, and iin • ediately trans
mitted to any part of the State to which the paper may
be ordered.
The large nnd interesting mass of information which
this Publication will contain, and tiic great expense
w hich must be incurred to carry it into operation, will
require a liberal patronage, and such n potronoge the
editor flatters himself will bo extended to him.

In addition to the Legislative nnd Conventional Procee-
dings, the JOURNAL will contain official Reports of
Drawing ofthe Land and Gold Lottery Regions, whwh
will commence, it is presumed about the commencement
of the sitting of the I egislulure. Should the Lottery for
ever, have commenced its drawing previous to that vtnod,
such days us may have drawn, will also be published,
that individuals interested will have entire Lists from be
ginning to end.
