Wishes to Engage as Manager,
or Overlooker,
A MAN with a small family, who has been
upwards of twenty years acquainted with
the general culture of the southern states,
viz. Rice, Cotton, Corn and Indigo—Has
some knowledge of the nature and treatment
ot diseases incident to people on plantations,
particularly those of children. Would prefer
a situation in South-Carolina, between Augus
ta and Savannah; though no part of the
southern states would be objected to, if not
considered unhealthy. A stated per cent, on
the crop, if the business be large, would be a
agreeable as any other salary. Unexceptions
able recommendations can be given, of hones
ty, sobriety and industry—those relative to
ability are not so recent; the individual being
engagod, during the late war, in a cloth ma
ftulactory, the expense attending which, and
decline of the same in consequence ol peace,
has urged him to return to his former avoca
tion. Any person desiring further informa
tion, by leaving a line with the Editor, or by
an advertisement in his paper, will be thank
fully attended to, previous to the Ist of Janu
ary next.
