vate life in Maicb, 1890, shortly alter

No man of this century nttainod such
fame in his sphere as did Von Bis
marck.
He was born at a time when the tre
mendous events of the Hundred Days
were shaking all Europe as a reed is
shaken by the wind. His earliest mem
cries were, of these days of Sturm and
Drang. Neither as a lad nor while a
student at Gottingen did the future
chancellor show any Indications of the
genius for the groat mutters of state
in which his culminating stroke was
the fueion cf all the Emailer kingdoms
and duchies of the Fatherland into a
mighty empire, changing: the coronet
of the Prussian kings into the imperial
crown cf a German emperor. In truth.
Bismarck was anything but a model
student.

The water was turned on the wheel
today at noon and all worked like h

that at the longest period, three weeks
will see the mill in operation.
On the outlade of the mill. «t the
north end, Is a spur railroad track and
platform, where the flour will hr load
ed on the cars and the raw graip re
ceived. An inclined platform runs
along the west side of the building to
tha south end platform on which tha
flour barrels may be rolled easily Into
the awaiting cars.
