She is visiting Mrs. Charles Phlntgy at Sans Souct. Mr. Martin Dunbar was a guest at Villa Marion Sunday evening Mrs. Stewart Phlnigy and Mrs. T. T. Talley spent Tuesday with in Augusta. Mrs. George Fargo and Mrs. Albert Doughty left us for Bath on Saturday after a delightful visit to Mrs. Tom Hoard, who complimented them 'on Friday evening with a charming card party, whose prUes were won by Miss Julia Stovall and Mr. James Tobin. Hon. J. C. C. Black visited the pleas ant hore» of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Heard on Saturday afternoon. Little Miss Harris, of Athens, and Miss Yancey, of Rome, are the guests of Miss Mary Lou Phinixy at Sous Souci. Mr. George Garvin was a welcome guest at Hill Crest cn Sunday. Mrs. Albert Doughty and Mrs. Geo. I'.vrgo wer complimented on the morn ing of their departure by one of the lovely lady of Villa Marion's charming luncheons. Mr. Hugh Harris paid cne of his de lightful flying visits to Grovetown on Monday. He was on his way to Au gusta. Mr. George Garvin eam-e up on Mon day on a visit to Dr. Hal Steiner at Old Cotocton. Miss Lucy Holt, one of last summer's brightest guests, has returned with the summer flowers to Stitmyside. Mr. Gus Tobin and Mr. Gould Bar rett drove over to Bath on Sunday. Tho Euchre Club met on Saturday evening at Hill Crest. The prixes given were very beautiful and were won by Mrs. Stewart Pbinixy and Mr. Tom Heard. One of the brightest holies who lives somewhere about the middle cf the av enue below the brow of the hill is so intensely Interested In the war that she cannot be prevailed on to eat any part of a chicken except the drum-sticks, It Is said. The little Methodist - Episcopal church on the brow of the hill has beon ; having a most successful protracted j meeting. The services were regularly jond heartily attended.
