asphalt, but so far only granite and

wants the Central road to pay him
$15,000 for Injuries received while in
the service of the raoad. He has filed
suit in the city court for that amount.
He alleges that on June 2. ISiIS, he was
employed In the boiler shop of the road
ai $1 per day. and that he was twenty
sevtn years old. He was on a joist,
thirty feet from lire ground, assisting
In raising a suction pipe, and was
shoved off and permanently disabled.

graphed to, were expected in the otty
today. Very little is known of the bride
tn this city. The groom, however, ts
hetter known, and wilt ho chiefly r»-
memherod from the fact that he was
limited by the terms of his father's
Will to $3,000 a year. He ts about 23
years old.
Chicago, Aug. 18. Geo. M. Pullman,
jr.. who was married in New York, to
Miss Lynne Fernald, was engaged be
fore his father's death to Feltette
Oglesby, daughter of the ex-governor
of Illinois. Miss'Fernald is the daugh
ter of J. W. Fernald, who is in the
pressed hay business, and who lives at
4.434 Greenwood avenue. She was en
gaged to W. Sanger Pullman, a twin
brother, who has since married a Cal
ifornia girl. Miss Fernald Is well
ituawh in society here, and ts noted "or
her dashing manners and sprightly
wit.
