One Man In the World.

popular as A— B—, and she was al
ways twice as prstty, yet who ever
seeks her out now? Her husband is
one of the most brilliant men I know,

hut 1 imagine she never enjoys any of
’ his conversations. I know I see him
j constantly at the theatre alone, and

■ Other nights he spends at the clubs,
j and his afternoons on his wheel or in
! his canoe. He need* diversion from h.s
! business, of course. I wonder if he
ever thinks she needs something a lit
tle different from the daily routine of
| household cares? No wonder she fails
to Interest his lordship, whip she nev
pr secs anything of the outside world.
She bos too much self-respect In (he
first place, and too much loyalty to

'tract other men, and so she knows 100

see such women as this poor little cre

have the best fit It in one respect, at
