efforts for the betterment and salvation
of the needy end neglected.
Since its organization tho society
has employed 44 missionaries and
teachers.
In addition to the above phases of
work nuntioned, the womrp are en
listed tn all kinds of Iccal home mis
sions such as Visiting the stranger,
the sick end needy, bolding meeting*
at cctiagce end Bible readings and
mother’s meetings.
This society is under the superivlslon
and instruction of a woman’s board of
home missions cf the M. E. Church,
Smith,, which Consists of a president,
two vice presidents, a general secretary
a recording secretary and a general
'treasurer and a rorreiponiiing secretary
or alternate of each conference society.
There are 39 conference societies em
braced in the Woman's Home Mission
Society of the whole Southern Metho
dist church, and the Conference Socie
ty Is comprised of auxiliaries of the
many pastoral charges in each confer
ence.

double wedding. One of the brides will
go to Florida,, but Harlem will si ill
