D-'llriitful Trip.
One of the most delightful trip* of

Bonham Smith, who for the benefit of
their many friends secured the Bon-
Air wagon, and charming Billy Boy
for the driver, the crowd met at Cen
tre and Broad to leave the city for a
! good cool drive and to hear the grand
i sermon which was delivered hy Rev.
I Mushburn in the forenoon. While on
! the road the girls would sing some
I sweet hymns that would niuke you
I think of heaven and all that was beau
j tifui. To remember this happy event
i the crowd had I heir photos taken! The
| ladles, who so thoughtfully and boun
tifully furnished the dinner, were:
Miss Lottie Starr, Miss Lizzie Clark,
Miss Belle Warren, Miss Carrie Starr,
Miss Cora Hopklnson. Miss Inez
Syms, Miss Annie Barton, Miss Emma
Barton. Miss Katie leopard, Miss Ma
mie Page, Miss Annie Leopard. The
gentlemen were: Mr. I). Harlem. Mr.
J, Fox, Mr. A. Seigman. Mr. W. J.
Dunham, Mr. E. Rambo, Mr. W. Win
gard, Mr. F. Kahrs. Mr. A. B. Willis.
Our driver, charming Billy Boy, Is a
peach, anil we will go again, Billy
Boy.

11l Dreams.
All Is ever, then, and love Is dead:
Rury him, and let no more be said:
We have learned our lesson, you nnd f;
Love, so quickly grown, Is quick to die.
Could our care have saved him? Had
we cared
Had his little lovely life been spared?
Vain (lie question: since he ties asleep.
Veil the face and let his mother weep.
Little love, our baby and our pride—
What's Ihe silly world worth since he
died?
You, his father, for his mother’s sake,
Do not tty to kiss the child awake!
Kisses, hisses, arms that closely fo'd
See! he smiles, he stirs, his lips are
cold;
Kiss them warm—the rosy sunrise
gleams:
Dear, tb" night was horrible with
dreams! j
