try. which twenty bright young men

whom, for aught we know, there may

What superlative balderdash!
The cotton operative of the smith,
like his fellowcraftsman of the north,
is human, and If he could afford It he
would take 365 holidays a year. But
his modest earnings enutile him to
take but a very few. and he knows It.
There are hundreds of them who are
genuinely sorry when any holiday
Comes. Certainly there is never a suf
ficient number of absentees to cripple
the mills in the slightest. There has

tioned advantages, the scenery and

matchless beauty and grandeur. De

nooks beneath great spreading trees,
