Alimony Per Clonth Granted Mra.
Daisy Pettyjohn.
The divorce raae of Mra. Dalay Aus
tin PetlyJolin vs. John McLaren Petty
john was heard in rhambers yester
day afternoon by Judge Calloway.
Some months ago the petition for
divorce was filed and until the final de
cision the amount of alimony was fixed
at S2O per month. For some reason or
other Mr. Pettyjohn has failed to pay
over this amount for the past three
monibk. and was yesterday up before
Judge Calloway for eontempt of court.
Judge Calloway cautioned Mr. Pet
tyjohn that unless the deficit were
pr.ld by October Ist a more serious le
gal action would be taken against him.
The amount of alimony was yester
day reduced by Judge Calloway from
S2O to sls.
Bunkley va. Binkley.

Small Negro Boy Stole a Team Last
Afternoon.
A very small negro boy spent last
night at police station. He had last
afternoon got into a buggy that was
standing in front of the Dyer build

owner reiki tad the mat ter to the police
and they found the hoy and the team.
The horse had been driven quite
hard.
This morning the hoy was turned
over to his father with the admoni
