W. S. Brown Found Guilty of Hur
dcrlng Miller.
Talbott on, Ga.. Kept. 24. Argument
In the case of Mr. W. Scotl Brown for
the killing of John Henry Miller, last,
March, was continued yesterday.
Speeches were made by J. C. Thorn
ton for the defense, and by Solicitor
S. P. Gilbert for the state. The case
was given to the Jury at 11 o’clock and
at 4:30 p. m. they returned a verdict
of guilty of murder, with recommen
dation to the mercy of the court. The
judge sentenced Brown to life impris
onment in the penitentiary. Court ad
journed today.

wife of the newly appointed Viceroy of

Highwayman Captured.
Waycross, Ga., Sept. 24. Tom
Sizemore, the. while highwayman, who
recently effected his escape from the
Coffee county Jail at Douglass, was
brought here Thursday night for safe
keeping.
He was captured at Fort Myers, Fla.,
and Deputy Sheriff Stnllh of Coffee
county had him In charge last night.
Sizemore and several other white men
were arresled several months ago for
robberies committed in the vicinity of
Douglass.
Nall Penetrated His Skull.
Montgomery, Ala.. Sept. 24. John
Papasek, while feeding hogs, last eve
ning, fell In a fit, striking his head on
a nail, which penetrated the skull
about two inches, causing his death.
Age, 95 years.
