Mens' conflicting report* have been
received concerning the else of tho
Florida orange crop. Tt was at flrat
estimated at one hundred and fifty
eat,mated a' 760.0 M to 1,000.000 boxea.
Since the dmnght it ia generally es
timated at 800.000 boxes'. The weal
roast orange crop will be conaldermhly
smaller than last •eaaon, as the full
effect* of the drought wag not felt in
that section,
A report from Diamond laike states
that the Louisian crop will amount to
300,000 boxes.
Little ia known as yet of the Ja
maica crop, but it is expeetd to be
large.
The California season has just about
reached its close. The crop was the
largest in the history of tho state,
amounting to 4.500,000 boxes. The
(ruit has been of good quality. Ef
forts are being made in California to
push an imported orange from Japan
known as the Oonshul in place of the
Washington navel orange, which is
in favor.
