The property will lie i divided Into forty share* »nd apprais ed Bach member* Is entitled to one fort letb of the present total value, and the division will be left to the choice of members, the older members having firet chance*. Hut the value of each Share will be the same. Each mem ber I* entitled lo u house and garden In town, slid some five. ten. fifteen or twenty acres fn the vicinity beside*. The single tax theory I* a peculiar doctrine of the organization, though no reform Is advocated. The members are generally mechanics, farmers and business men of moderate means. A share must he Improved, or Its value will not be enhanced by surrounding Improvement*. Members can Improve a part of their shares and sell or lease the balance if they so desire. Ten cot tages not Included In the above count are in the town, and can he made ser viceable by proper repairs. They were formerly owned by the W. T. John Gray, for being disorderly, paid ♦5. Mr. Miller was fined »3.50 for break ing the elastic section. PISTOL AND STICK. A Bit of Troble at a Wagon Yard Sat. urday Afternoon. There came near being a difficulty In Langley's wagon-yard Saturday af ternoon. Mr. W. J. Heath and another party were driving down Broad street when they accidentally ran against a col ored girl, carrying a pail of water on her head. The buggy wheel grazed the girl and knocked her down. Tom Sims, a colored cripple, saw the acci dent and followed the wagon. Ho stopped at the wagon-yard and asked Mr. Heath what he meant by running down the girl. Heath explained that it was an accident, but Sims was not to be satisfied, and so said some hot words to Mr. Heath. Heath drew a pistol us Sims procured a stick. Wlmt would have happened next wu;j inter rupted by the appearance of Officer Seller, who reported both parties.
