POOLS OF WATER
Have Collected In Great Quantities on
Calhoun Street.
A gentleman residing on Calhoun
street asked a Herald reporter today
to make mention of the fact that Cal
houn street between Centre and El
bert was in a miserable condition, and
pools of s'lmy water had collected In
great quantities on the street.
He thought that the city authorities
should have their attention called to
the bad condition that prevailed.
The street should be fixed.

TOrtORROW NIQMT
The Great “140*'’ Will Be at the
Grand.
Tomorrow night the citizens of Au
gusta will turn out In full force to
greet 1492, with the great and popular
Stuart as Isabella. The show has
been making a great hit throughout
tbe country and it will hold up lta rec
ord here In giving the audience a fine
play.
St/mrt, the male Patti, has a re
markable soprano volceOnherlted from
his Italian mother. The voice has
none of the falsetto notes so general
ly noticed in male sopranos, but Is
pure and sweet and entitles him to the
name of Patti.
Many of the soldier boys will be out
to see they play and their friends will
have a good chance to see them. The
sale of seats opened this morning and
there is every indication that there
will he a large audience on hand to
morrow night.
