Owosso, Mich., Nov. 13.—Th* village
of Perry, south of this city, was visited
l>y a tcirlble fire today. Rowe ffc Co.'s
large livery barn, with contents, was
burned to the ground. Charles Tajftyr,
one of the proprietors, and family, liv
ed over th- barn. Mrs. Taylor, tier
daughter and an old man named Chirk,
were burled beneath the fallen roof.Und
burned to death. The building was Sud
denly enevlooi-d In flames, and they
could not escape. Mr. Taylor got out
frtgh'.'ully burned. Dr. Compton,a vet
erinary surgeon, and a boy, who slept
In the r.flire, escaped. The cause is un
known. A dozen horses, carriages, a
cattle and some hay and grain
were burned. The village has no water

curred. We cannot explain it. If the
crew had conspired to steal the hones
to "lay" the “Husky" ghosts, why did
they take only six skulls, and how did
they manage not to disturb the seals?
The abstraction of the skplis made no
difference—so the sailors declared—to
the "Husky” apparitions with which
they said the ship was constantly
haunted.
Broke His Arm.
This morning while FM Cavally, the
eight year old son of Mrs. Cavally, of
West Find, was playing circus with a
crowd of little hoys, he fell and broke
his arm. Medical attention was im*n'-
dlately given him and he Is resting as
easily as could be expee cd.
Interment.
Will Turner, the three monihs old
son rtf Mr. and Mrs. John Turner, died
yestprday afternoon of cholera Infan
tum. The funeral services were held
