Tattooing.
European women have a erase for
tattooing at the moment. They cause
themselvca to be decorated with drag
cnea. serpents, griffins and such things,
and call the figures tattographs.
The queen of Greece Is said to have
| her ankle tattooed with some small fig
ure. and a Parisian woman, hearing of
I this, went her one better and had a spi
der web tattooed on her shoulder. She
| claims to be delighted with the result,
for she says when In full dress the tat
i tograph gives her an air of mystery.
1 tend attracts people to her shoulder. If
not to her side.
It ds not stated that the mouse has
become a popular figure. A woman who
could he guilty of such folly Is not far
removed from a savage, and It Is safe
to say that this fad will not be adopt
ed by American women, who ever show
« great amount of w Isdom In their fool
ish 'ancles.
Baby Show.
There seems to be some misunder
standing In regard to the admission fee
to the Baby Show, which will be held at
the Masonic Fair this afternoon
promptly at three o'clock. The en
trance fee to the hall, for grown people
and children alike, will be five cents.
Twjnty-flvc- cents will be charged for
an Infant or small child to enter the
contest for the prise for the prettiest,
child. This sum will also admit the
nurse. A very handsome prise will he
given, if the attendance Is sufficiently
large to warrant it. Otherwise, a very
nice doll will be given instead. Everv
ehlld under ten, who pays five cents
admission fee, will be given a souvenir.
The doll show spoken of will probably
be given Saturday afternoon.
Au Autumn Toque.

a beautiful shade of grope purple. A !
