It becomes our pleasant privilege to
welcome into the Slate Federation a |
new and most important organization,
the Verdery, of Augusta, a musical
club, composed of sixty active and one
hundred and twenty-five associate
members, says the Rome Georgian.
This makes valuable addition to the In
tellect and culture of the Federation.
At the same time the benefit will be
mutual, for It will bring the Verdery
into recipri city with the Orpheus
Club, of Columbus and other musical
sections of prestige and importance.
Mrs. J. Lindsay Johnson, president of
the State Federation, will particularly
emphasize during hsr administration,
the beauty and importance of the
study of music as a science and the
movements of the Verdary in that di
rection will give her the greatest pleas
