grove, a well known money lender of
Home, was found In an unconscious
state in hed yesterday morning from
an overdoae nf morphine.
Medical assltance was called, but he

Mr. Hargrove was njrml 62 years old
and had lived In RcTOe all his life.
He leaves a widow and one son—Claude
Hargrove,
The cause of the act Is unknown.
Hargrove has been in bad health for
several months.
Hargrove was assistant postmaster at
one time. He was well known through
out this section. He *«» well connected
and had resided here all of hi* life. His
father and three other men were the
first 10 select the site for Rome and
Hargrove named the town. Hargrove
was a Confederate soldier and was at
one time a banker.
