OKS. MINTON DEAD.
A Prominent Lady of Athens Has
Passed Away.

Atlanta, (is.. Dec. 2(1. —Mrs. J- M
Hinton of this city died at her home
in this city at » o'clock night before
last. Ahe suffered with congestion of
the lungs and only lived about fiftj
mimites after she was taken sick. She
was out at ramp yesterday afternoon
to see the dress parade. Her home Is
near camp, and she, being fond of heal
ing taps, decided to alt up aud hear It.
just before the taps were sounded she
was suddenly seised by a smothering
sensation.
A doctor was immediately summon
ed. but she only lived ten minutes af
ter he came. The many friends of Mrs.
Hinton in Augusta will be grieved to
hear of her unexpected death. Mrs.
Hinton was a most lovable woman, and
the whole of Athens extends heartfelt
sympathy for the bereaved family.

altogether a good sign, for it shows
1 that capital is still somewhat timid and
• prefers the low rate of interest of the

1 business enterprise. Capital accumu
lated in bank is quite a different thing
from money in circulation. However,
it Is probable that the lowering of in
terest rates will drive capital out of

seek larger returns in business and in
