rose, and addressed the company most eloquontly

which you have just expressed, and tho very
great kiuduess With which it has been received. -
“From those with whom I have long been ac
quainted, towards whom 1 have stood lor a tones
of years in the most intimate relations, l might

stranger, aliko unknowing aud unknown. In
deed, it is the second time iu my life that I havo
