ed by the schooner Atfy arrived this day, men
tioning that market to be glutted with every
article of American produce, on which great
losses would follow, excepting in rains rice

was crowded with American vessels, which

A letter from North Santee, dated on Thurs
day last, says—“ W« had a very severy Hail
Storm, about 2 o'clock to-day ; the hail stones
were full as large as pigeon’s eggs ; it lusted
about 15 minutes, an 1 was followed by a heavy

corps of observation of the Pyrenees, has been
extremely active in suppressing malcontents in

The prefect of the northern departmet has
made known to the snb prefects »nd mayors

departments in France, the patriotic paroxysm

The emperor by a decree of the 3d of May,
hid reduced by more than one-third the quanti

at the disposal of the prefect, a sum of 2,000,000
francs, to, defray certain expenses, then enu
merated.
An article from the frontier* of Switaerland
says, that Alexander was averse from opening

probably not commence before the 1st of July,
unless the emperor Napoleon should be unwil-
ling tn wait till thi allies wire thoroughly pre-

The Prussians were removing their maga-
