been duly organized under and according to the re
quirements of the Act of Congress entitled “ An Act
to provide a National Currency, secured by a pledge of
United States bonds, and to provide for the circulation
and redemption thereof," approved Juno 3, 1864, and
has complied with all the provisions of said Act re
quired to be complied with before commenciiyp the
business of Banking under said Act:
Now, therefore, I, Freeman Clarke, Comptroller of
the Currency, do hereby certify that "The Savannah
National Bane," in the City of Savannah, in the
County of Chatham, and State of Georgia, is author
ized to commence the business of Banking under the
Act aforesaid.
