Two Hours in Fun Land.—By. the card in another column our readers will be pleased to learn that Mr. and Mrs. Watkins, assisted by their uiece, Miss Carlotta Shaw, the distinguished lady pianist, will give a series of their world-ramed entertainments entitled “Two Honrs in Fun Land," at St. Andrew’s Hall, commencing on Wednesday evening 22d inst. Mr. and Mrs. Watkins have re ceived the most flattering enconiums of the English and American press having performed with the most gratifying success in the principal cities of both countries. The Augusta Constitutionalist, whose judgment and good taste in sach matters we most coutidently endorse, speaking of their entertain ments In that city says— On Monday, and again last evening, we attended the brilliant entertainment of Mr. and Mrs. Watkins, and we take great pleasure in saying that we were perfectly delighted, in fact, we cannot say that we were ever made to laugh heartier, or experienced greater difficulty in endeavoring to keep our walk ing cahe still. To listen to Mr. and Mrs. Watkins is, of a troth, ‘ Two Hours in Fun Land.” From the commence ment of the performance until the close, the audi ence is kept in a furore of laughter by the ready wit of Mr. W., while round after round of applause greets the easy grace and finish which torm the ilisliugueot Mrs. W’s character. The thorough metamorphosis of character is really woadenul. Mrs. W. appeared to be the fa vorite of her audience last evening. Her voice Is clear, powerful, melodious, and the assemblage tes tilicd ihelr appreciation of her flue vocalism by re calling her to the stage several limes. With the ut innsi self possession, she is so retiringly modest as to command ihe respect and admiration of the veriest skeptic in amusements. Mr. Watkins, in the character of Jowler and Huckleberry, is inimitable. THIS COURTS. PR ,VO9TCOURT, DISTRICT OF SAVANNAn,BEFORE CAPT. CLARK H. RF.MICK, PROVOST MARSHAL; Savannah, November 18th, 1805. On investigation it was “covered that the word -‘Brigand,” had been pruned on two sheets of paper, and that the darkle who posted the bills, In posting the sheets together had pot “the cart before the horse” or rather the And before ‘’brig.’* Non-Arrival of the New York Steamers.—ln consequence of the heavy fog prevailing the whole Os yesterday and last night, the New York steamers were prevented from reaching the harbor.
