Supplement to failn Jerald.
The Savannah Daily Herald
Honduras. —The Bali/e correspondent of
the New York Herald gives a rather gloomy
picture of affairs in British Honduras. There
had been a continuation of rain lor mauy
days, overflowing the country, ruining the
crops and drowning much of the live stock;
the ending of our war had almost put a stop
to the lately brisk turpentine trade; logwood
is bo low in price and mahogany so far from
the water that they scarcely pay for cuttiog;
the demaqd for sarsaparilla is very limited ;
the coolieMaborers introduced were proving
a failure, one-tentb of them having died
of sickness, committed suicide or been hung
for murder, and, in addition to all these af
flictions, the people groan under enormous
tajtes imposed by the colonial government.
The Legislature met on the 24tn ult The
colonial treasury was said to be nearly
empty.
Canada —The inauguration of Ottawa as
the new Canadian capital was fairly comple
ted by the meeting there on Tuesday last of
the Executive Council. The arrangements
of the provincial government for meeting
the anticipated Fenien raid are not relaxed;
but it is said that no more volunteers are to
be sent to the frontier for the present. To
add to the already aggravated difficulties
created by the Fenian excitement, tbe gov
ernment finds another source of trouble in
tbe renewal of discontent and complaint on
tbe part of the French inhabitants, and some
of the French organs ore making severe at
tacks on English domination.
Thr War Feeling at the North.— The
New York correspondent of the New York
Herald says:—A new cause for bloodshed
has arisen in the action of the British author
ities towards the officers and crew of the
Shanandoah. There is no mistaking the pub
lic feeling North, as it is roused and fostered
by the New York papers. The sentiment
against England verges upon absolute ha
tred. A war with that power or with France,
or with both, would excite tbe utmost en
thusiasm and call half a million of men to
arms in thirty days. It will require all the
good sense and coolness of the President
and Secretary Seward to keep us out of dif
ficulties.
Thorooublt Testbd.— Mrs. S. A. Al
len's Worm's Hair Restorer and Zylo
balsamum has stood the test for twenty
years. Millions of bottles sold every year.
It is not a dye, and differs from all other
preparations, as it contains tbe specific ali
ment which la the life of the hair. They are
unequalled for veetoring.invigorating, beauti
fying, and dressing the hair, rendering it
soft, Silky and glossy. They cleanse the
hair, and impart to it a most delightful fra
grance. Every Druggist sells them.

J. W. Bradley’s flew Patent. Dunex Ellip
tic (or Double) Spring Skirt.
THIS Invention consist* of Duplex (or twoj Ellptic
Pure Refined Steel Springe, ingeniously braided
tightly and firmly together, edge t.o edge, making the
toughest, most flexiDie, elastic and durable Spring
ever used. They seldom bend or break, like the sin
gle Springs, and consequently preserve their perfect
and beautiful shape more than twice as long as any
Single Spring Skirt that ever has or can be made.
The wonderful flexibility and great comfort and
pleasure to anv lady wearing the Duplex Elliptic Skirt
will be experifneed particularly in all crowded Assem
blies, Operas, Carriages, Railroad Cars, Church Pews,
Arm Chairs, for Promenade and House Dress, as the
Skirt can be folded when in use to occupy a small
jjju?e as easily and conveniently as a Silk or Muslin
A lady having enjoyed the pleasure, comfort and
great convenience of wearing the Duplex Elliptic
Steel Spring Skirt for a single day will never after
wards willingly dispense with their use. For children,
misses and young ladies they are superior to all oth
ers.
The Hoops are covered with 2 ply double twisted
thread and will wear twice as long as the single yarn
covering which is used on all Single Steel Hoop Skirts.
The three bottom rods on everyfcirt are also Double
Steel, and twice or double covered to prevent the cov
ering from wearing off the rods when dragging down
stairs, stone steps, Ac., which they are constantly
subject to when in use.
All are made of the new and elegant Co.decl Tapes,
and are the best quality in every part, giving to the
wearer the most graceful and perfect shape possible
and are unquestionably the lightest, most desirable,
Comfortable and economical Skirt ever made.
