On the 21st and 22d instant, Mr. and
j Mrs. Gromet, were engaged in opening their

j being in tile store, made it vary dangerous for

| Gather, the trunk which contained the hooks
; and papers were fuatched out of the Lofom of
the devouring element. Mr. Gromet now en

following detail, with which we were favored
by a gentleman who was present on that occa
sion.
About ten o’clock on the 4th of July, all the
Students of the College ar.d Grammar School,
together with the Tutors, ProfelTor, Secretary,
Treasurer, President and Board cf Trustees,
walked in procefiion from the Presidents house
to a lpacious arbor erected in front of the Col
