Before he expired he made an affidavit, stating chat about a month since he wished to borrow half a dollar frem a oolored man, at Cbeetertown, Md. The men re fused to lead it, and Whittaker struok him in the head with a hammer nod killed him.— He threw the body overboard. The authori ties of Maryland will be notified of the facts. —Philadelphia Ledger.
