The altar of the church was
centered with a large grecian
column topped with a white
basket arrangement of white
chrysanthemums, gladioli and
carnations flanked on either
side by an arch of white burning
tapers and greenery
A candleabra held three
burning candles which was
used to symbolize the joining of
two lives into one
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride was radiant in
a beautiful hand sewn gown
made by her mother The white
satin bridal gown was overlaid
with Chantilly lace and
featured panels of lace on the
empire waist The fitted lac e
sleeves were designed with
bell shaped cuffs A large
white satin bow fell gracefully
the length of the chapel train
Her veil of illusion was
attached to a seed peart tiara
and loaned to the bride by Mrs
Grayson Riner
She carried a white prayer
book, given to her by her
parents, centered with a bridal
bouquet of white carnations
interspersed with bridal satin

a pair of gold wishbone
earrings
Mrs J M Spearman, aunt of
the bride, was matron of honor
and Miss Sandra Frederick,
sister of the bride, and Mrs

crepe, and carried nosegays of
white chrysanthemums

dinner for Robert Moxley and
his bride elect, Loraine
Frederick, at the Tyson's home
on Friday evening. Feb 5, at
eight o'clock
The dinner of shrimp
cocktail sautee d chicken
livers on yellow rice, roast
pork, petit glazed yams,
asparagus au gratin, lime
pecan salad. miniature
bisquits. heavenly hash and
lady fingers was served buffet
style
The linen cutwork and
embroidered table clothes were
given a mellow beauty by
spravs of camellias and baby
breath and candlelight
reflecting from silver
candlelabra
Silver gifts were presented to
the attendants The
groomsmen received tie chasps
and anklets were given to the
bridesmaids
Mr Tyson read a portion of
“For ’Phis One Hour” and
followed with prayer,
petitioning for blessings on the
prospective bride and groom
Miss Dale Jones entertained
the guests with several piano
selections
Along with the honor guests,
places were laid for Mr and
Mrs Carlton Phillips, Mr and
Mrs R L Moxley, of Soperton.

What life as a drug addict is
actually like will be shown on
Georgia's television screens on
the installment of the “Turned
on Crisis’ ’ series scheduled at 7
p m February 17 Entitled
“THE CONCEPT ”, the
program will be broadcast over
the state-owned public
television network It may be
seen locally on Channel 9
The uniqueness of “THE
CONCEPT” is that it will be
staged by ex addicts as they
improvise dramatizations of
their actual experiences on the
streets, in jail and in suffering
the agony of withdrawing from
drugs
This installment of the twice
a week drug abuse series will
be produced by William
McGaw who produced
• JOURNEY INTO SELF”
winner of an Academy Award
as the best documentary of 196 H
•Turned On Crisis” is being
aired over the public television

Slate law Requires
License for Child
Care Homes, Elc.
All persons providing regular
day care for three or more
children must be licensed by
the State Department of Family
and Children Services,
according to Director Jim
Parharr
“Children have a right to
protection and quality care
white their parents work Our
program for licensing day care
centers and homes guards that
right,” Parham stated
He reminded all persons who
wish to enter the child care
field that by law the
Department’s Division for
Children and Youth prescribes
and enforces standards for
child care services in day care
centers and family day care
homes in Georgia
In addition to evaluating and
licensing centers and homes,
the Department offers
consultative services to persons
interested in providing child
care Consul tants are
available to explain the law
governing child care and the
minimum standards which
must be met for a State license
Failure to comply with child
•are laws is a misdemeanor
and conviction carries a fine of
SSO to S2OO for each day of
illegal operation
Today there are 860 licensed
day care centers operating in
Georgia The Department of
Family and Children Serviess
has 500 applications pending for
family day care homes and 100
applications pending for day
care centers. Temporary
permits may be granted white
applications are being
processed

to apply for a child care license
in the Macon area including
Treutlen County should contact

Barrington (Now disappeared)
near Ludowici an evergreen
flowering tree, fragrant
blossom, leaves oblong, fruit a
large round woody apple,
known as “Gordonia.”
In Garrett County, Md., road
workers returned to their jobs
November 20,1970 ending a 227-
day walkout, the longest by
public employees. The
previous record was a 138-day
strike by sanitation workers in
Bowling Green, Ohio, in 1965.
