have been jwrmittad to collect from hia books
the different receipt* of cotton from the Mo
bile and Girard Railroad for the month of
Beptaniher and to the 20th October of the
years Ifififi, 1857 and 1868, showing con
clusively that the tiusmcs* on this road ia
fast increasing, and pouring into our city a
lags amount of cotton, which haa heretofore
taken s different course. If this road ia do
ing so much for our trade with not fifty miles
in operation, what nsay wc expect from it as
