DR. LEBRUN offers to those suffering from
deafness, his infallible aural remedies, which
havo been successful iu nearly three thousand
cases ot confirmed deafness! These remedies have
been pronounced by Drs. Khminor, of Berlin, and
Deleau, of Paris, and Curtis Pilcher, of London, as
tho most wondt i lul ever applied for diseases of in
ternal aud middle ear. They comprise different
courses for the various diseases that affect the ex
ternal and middle eur. Dr. Lebrun warrants a
cure in every case , where the ear is perfect in its
formation. He has cighteeu certificates from those
who have been deaf from infancy, whose hearing
is now completely restored, und they are now ena
bled to learn the language! Over twenty-seven
hundred cases of deafness have been successfully
treated by him. Certificates to that effect may be
seen on application.
In all cases of deafness arising from in 11 am mo
tion, thickening, or oven perforation of the ‘mcm
hrana tympani,’ usually called the * drum ;’ infiam
limtiou ot mucous inembrnuo ol tho tympanum
aud cutitA'lmin tube, with accumulation of mucus;
nervous affections, polypus growths, Ac., or when
the disease can be traced to scarlet, typhus, bilioiiß
or intermittent fever, colds, the uae of quinine or
mercurial medicines, gatherings in the ears of
childhood. Ac., the sense can, in neuily evuy in
stance, be restored. When a want of secretion is
apparent, the ‘auditory caual’ being dry and
scaly; when the deafness is accompanied with
noises in the ear, like Yustling of leaves, chirping
of insects, falling water, ringing of bells, pulsa
tions, discharge of matter; when in a stooping
position a sensation is felt as if a rush of blood to
the head had taken place; when the hearing is
perfectly acute where there is much noise, or less
acute in dull, cloudy weather, or >Aeu cold bus
been taken, the course pursued by l)r. Lebrun is
considered infallible.
Dr. DUFTON, the only practitioner in the United
States who practices the new, painless, and suc
cessful method in treating all diseases to which
the Eye is subject, where every other means have
failed to afford relief; he asks from such a lair and
impartial taial. Patients sending u few particulars
of their case, can have remedies sent to any part.
