The stalk is now lienrly waist high, looks fine, and in some cases the heads are fully grown. The fine navigation makes busy times on the lake and bayou, and the cotton is fast disappearing from Minde.n landing. —■ ♦ Another Warning. The Augusta Dispatch, of Monday evening, states that a child of Mr. Mc- Kenney, seven or eight years old, residing in the lower part of the city, died on Sun day last, from the oii'octs of eating the tiowers of the Yellow Jessamine. Medical aid was called in, but tho poison was so rapid in its effects that nothing effectual could be done, and the child died in a very few moments after being taken sick. ♦ Presbytery Meetings.
