gtailij gun. A Girl Printer. Tho subjoined paragraph (says tho At lanta American) wo find afloat upon tho Sea of newspaper literature. There docs not exist a more tasteful pursuit than tho printing art, or one that affords, in con nection with the true dignity of labor, so much intellectual pabulum. In our course we liavo frequently met with simpering youth. who thought that their choice of a vocation for life must, of course, be out of what is called the “learned profes sions.” If many of them had selected tho printing art, they might* in time, have learned the rudiments of their mother tongue, whereas they were con tent to cherish a hallucination of intel lectual qualifications of distinguished rank. How many of our College young ladies of the present day who will ever attain to the success of our “Girl Prin ter.” But read the paragraph : A Cincinnati paper states that a few years ago, a pauper orphan applied and was admitted to set type for that paper. She worked two years, during which time ■ffie earned, besides her expenses, about two hundred dollars, anil availing herself of the facilities which the printer ottered, acquired a good education She is now the associate editress of a popular paper and engaged to be married to one of the smartest lawyers in Ohio. We would be disinclined to credit the above if wo did not have so many evidences of tho cleva ling influence of the printing office. THE LIVER INVIGORATOR. PREPARED BY DR SANFORD, Compounded entirely from Gums, IS one of the best Purgatives and Liver Medicines now before the public that acts as a Cathartic, easier, milder, and more effectual than any other medicine known. It is not only a Cathartic, but a Liver remedy, acting first on the Liver to eject its morbid matter, then on the stomach and bowels to carry off that matter, thus accomplishing two pur poses effectually, without any of the pa nful feel ings experienced in the operation of most Cathar tics. It strengthens the system at tho same time that it purges it; and when taken daily iu moder ate doses, will strengthen and build it up with unusual rapidity. The Liver is one of . the principal regula tors of the human bo- (Ji dy; und when it per forms its functions well, the powers ure fully developed. The tv stomach is almost en tirely dependent on the healthy action of the Diver for tho per- | formance of its func tions; when the slum- ry acii is at fault, tlie bowels are at fault, Cj . and the whole sy stem suffers in consequence ‘of one organ—the Liver—having ceased UJ to do its duty. For the diseases of that ‘J organ, one of the pro prietors has made it his study, iu u practice of more than twenty fj years, to find some remedy wherewith to -i counteract the many derangements to LJi which it is liable. To prove that this LQ | remedy isatlastfound, any person troubled * j with Liver Com plaint, iu any of its |—| forms, has but to try a bottle, and conviction is certain. These Gums remove u all morbid or bad mat tor from the system, supplying in their place a healthy How ot (J) bile, invigorating the stomach, causing food jto digest well, puri fy in g the blood, i giving tone and health to the whole machine |__J ly, removing the cause of the disease—eflect- * u ß * radical cure. Bilious attacks are Jure cured, and, what iB better, prevented, by the occasional use of tho Liver Invigo- ‘jrator. One doso utter eating i; is sufficient to relieve the stomach and pro- Q | vent the food from rising and souring. t j Only one dose taken j beforo retiring, pre vents Nightmare. m Only one dose taken LJ u t night, loosens the bowels gently, and curoß Oostiveness. One dose taken after m each meal will cure Dyspepsia. <y ‘ One dose of two j tea-spoonfuls v/ill al ways relieve Sick I Headache. Ouu bottle taken for M ; female obstruction re moves the causo of the disease, and makes a perfect cure. Ty Ouly one doso imme- £J jdiuteiy relieves Chol ic, while 1 One dose, often re- i Ipeated, is a sure cure for Cholera Alorbus, aud a preventive of Cholera. l Ouly one bottle is needed to throw out of the system the effects H of medicine after a long uickneytj. One bottle taken for Jaundice romoves all ftallowneßß or un- ui natural color from the skin. One doso taken a j short time before eat ing gives vigor to the (J appetite, and makes food digest well. One dose often re- ii posted, cureß Chronic Diarrhiea in its worst HQ forms, while Summer and Bowel complaints * w [yield almost to the first dose. i One or two doses cures attacks caused by Worms in Chil- r dren; there is no surer, safer, or speedier rem- ] edy in tho world, as it never fails. uj A few bottles cures r J Dropsy, by oxciting the absorbents. We take pleasuro in fj recommending this medicine us a proven- vw t, ve f or Fever and Ague, Chill Fev ei, and all Fevers of a Bilious Type. Itoper- W iates with certainty, and thousands are wil- ling to testify to its wonderful virtues. ( All who used it are giving their unanimous tes timony in its favor. AU'Mix water in the mouth with the Invigora tor, and swallow both together. TIIE LIVER INVIGORATOR Is a Scientific Medical Discovery, aud is daily work ingjeures almost 100 great for belief. It cures as if by magic, even the first dose giving benefit, aud seldom more than one bottle is required to euro any kind of Liver Complaint, from tho worst Jaun dice or Dyspepsia to a common lluadachc, all of which are the result of a DISEASED LIVER. Price One Dollar per Bottle. DR. SANFORD, Proprietor, 345 Broadway, New York. Sold, in Columbus, by PEMBERTON A CARTER, JOHN W.
