DAILY STJUST. Saturday Morning, April 30, 1859. To Advertisers. We state for the information of advertisers, that the Daily Suu has a circulation in tho City of Columbus equal to the combined circulation of all other dailies in the city. The country circulation of the Sun also exceeds any daily in tho city. A word to the wise is sufficient. Traveling Agent. Mr. Zach. Kooers is our Traveling Agent in Alabama, and is authorized to receive and receipt for subscriptions to the Daily and Weekly Sun. New Advertisements. A good opportunity is offered by Mr. Skinner for someone to mako ten dollars, more or less. See advertisement. Lovers of pure whisky can bo supplied by calling on Van Marcus. See adver tisement. Tlie Montgomery Blues. This company of citizen soldiers from our sister city of Montgomery, Ala., will arrive in our city on their way to Macon, Ga., on Monday afternoon. They will be received by our military in proper stylo, ami escortod to quarters, where they will remain until 4 o’clock on Tuesday morn ing, wlftn they will leave for Macon. We feel that our citizens, aside from the mil itary, will extend a cordial welcome to this company. Firemen’s Parade, This afternoon is the lime for the an nual parade of our gallant and noble firemen. We expect to see Broad street crowded to its utmost capacity by young and old, master and servant, pretty wo men and ug— homely women, and a general good time generally. Everybody will doubtless be in a good humor with himself, liis wife, children and his neigh bors, and especially with the firemen. Georgia Grays’ Picnic. This spirited corps of young soldiers have a social reunion to-day, on the green near ('apt. Wm. Brooks’, on the bank of the river. It would have been impossible to select a more delightful spot for the purpose indicated. A fiue grove of forest trees, and a lovely carpet of green grass, tend to give it the sweet seclusion so much sought after iu arranging for pic nics. We learn that a largo platform has been erected, upon which the young sol dier and his blushing sweetheart may trip the light fantastic toe. The affair prom ises to be very pleasant, and we doubt not every true Gray will exert himself to his utmost to milk.o it un occasion of plci* sure, especially to the fair who will be sure, to grace the grounds with their presence. Quick Work. The ship Georgia, Capt. McLoon, ar rived on tho 4th inst., from Liverpool, with a cargo consisting of 3000 sacks of salt, besides a large lot of hardware and sundry other articles of merchandise, which she discharged, and then took in a cargo of 3,371 bales of cotton, and clear ed yesterday for Liverpool, having com pleted her unloading and reloading in the short space of 23 days, exclusive of Sun days.—Sav. Bep. Female Waiters Abandoned. A New York resturant which first intro duced female waiters, has been obliged to give them up, because, “Ist, the crinoline impeded locomotionand occupied toomuch space ; and 2d, because tho young women had too many male cousins among their guosts, to whom they gave toojmuch at tention ; and sometimes forgot to give the right tickets, to the injury of tho exche quer of the establishment.” Piles! Piles! Piles!—What is it? How Cured? Thousands of persons liavo Piles —suffer for years with the disease—yet few know what it is, or how it is cured. Every case of Piles, whether mani fested in the form of external tumors, frequent bleedings, or iu violent itching and irritation, do pends essentially upon congestion of the abdomi nal venous circulation. This produces the cn gorgoment, hemorrhages, pain and suffering; and tho disease can only be fundamentally cured by medicines which, taken intornaliy, relieve this abdominal venous congestion, lienee ointments, washes, and even injections, are so ineffectual. HUMPHREY'S HOMEOPATHIC PILE SPE CIFIC, a simple sugar pill, taken two or three times per day, cures the diseaso by curing the con dition upon which the disease depends. Hundreds have been cured by it, even of the most obstinate cases. Ail will be promptly benefited by it. Price, 50 cents a box. N. B.—A full set of Humphrey's Homeopathic Specifics, with hook of directions and 20 remedies, iu large 5 drachm vials, aud morocco cade, $5; do. iu plain case, $4; family case of 15 boxes and book, $2, Tho Remedies, by the single box or full case, sent to any address by mail or express, free of charge, on receipt of tbe price.
