G. Marsh, are beginning a series of their unique engagements in the city of Macon. Bradford & Sandiford, was visi- j ted on Thursday night by a burglar or burglars, who succeeded in obtaining about eighteen or twenty dollars in silver change. They disturbed nothing else, as money seemed to have been the object of their nocturnal visit. The key was on the inside of the door of the store, aud appeared to have been turned in the lock by means of some sort of instrument The money drawer was anew one, hav ing been put in the same night it was broken open. X Committee of Conference with Southern Suites. In tho House of Delegates of Virginia, Mr. Seddon, of SlsfForrl offered the fol- I lowing resolution, which was ordered to be laid on the table and printed : Resolved, by the General Assembly, That in view of tho hostile legislation of many of the nou-slaveholdiug States, and of the combinations prevailing generally in them against the institutions, honor and peace of the slaveholding States, the dangerous tendencies of which have been recently illustrated by the invasion of this State, and the rapine, murder and treason com mitted within her borders, Virginia in vites each of the slaveholdiug States to appoint commissioners to meet in Confer ence at Atlanta, Georgia, on the day of next, to devieo aud recommend such system of common measures as in their judgment may be necessary or ad visable for defence, and the redress aud prevention of such wrongs ; and that with this view, the Governor be requested, and he is hereby authorized to appoint on be half of Virginia, three Commissioners for such Conference. Mr. Keen offered sn addition to the above resolution of Mr. Seddon, which provides that the Virginia Legislature shall nominate a Democratic candidate for the Presidency, and an Opposition can didate for the Vice Presidency, and that if these nominations aro defeated by the Black Republican*, then tho KaccuGve shall appoint the three Commisioners to the Conference. Mr. Keen withdrew his motion, an nouncing that he would hereafter oder it as an independent resolution. Brilliantly Beautiful Yet Unhappy.
