Church Building Burned.
The old church building in the north
ern past of Girard, nearly opposite the
Palace Mills, was burned between eight
and u’ne o'clock on Sunday night. We
understand the building belonged to the
Methodist Protestant denomination, and
up to a few months ago was occupied as a
school house The house was of wood,
with no buildings immediately around.
The fire was obviously the work of an
to be gained by it we cannot conceive.
