ure authorised to call in twenty-five per cent on the
amount subscribed, within sixty days after the passage
of said act. Notice is hereby accordingly given, tnat,
on or before the 22 l day of Fe iruan next, subscribers
to die Darien Bank are required to pay into the hands

fijpHE subscribers offer to contract with any persons
il for cutting a CANAL from the Alai am ah a, near
Piuey Island, to Cat-fisn Creek, the distance of which
is a mile. The Canal to be opened at the upper end
forty-feet, and the remaining part twenty feet, wide, and
four feet deep; die dirt to be. thrown upwards of ten
feet on each side back, from the canal, and the ground
to be cleared completely of trees for one hundred feet
wide through its whole extent.
They will also contract for cutting a short Canal of
from two to three hundred yards at a place called the
Narrow s, near Joiner’s field, also in the Alatamaha. —
