They may be pro pelled by water, steam, wind, or horse [lower, and will do its work with groat rapidity and perfection, and may be put up and kept in order by almost any person. It is a perfect Grist Mill iu miniature, well adapted to the wants of every Farmer and Planter, and is undoubtedly the cheapest and best Mill ever offered to the public. These Mills are not made of Iron or Steel, which soon become dull by use, and then cannot be sharpened again, but of the’ beat FRENCH MURK STONE, which is but little effect ed by use, and when it does become dull, can easily be sharpened by tbe fanner himself. The highest premiums and silver medals have been awarded to this Mill three years in succession, by the American Institute in tliocity ul New Y ork, and also a silver medal from the Franklin Institute, in Philadelphia, and the National Fair, at Washington. A Premium if >s awarded to this Mill at the New York State ' Pair held at Saratoga Springs, in Sept., 1847 ; 1 and al<o obtained a premium at the Massachusetts Agi {cultural Fair held in Boston last September, i The subscriber owns tbe Patent-Right for SOUTH CAROLINA, GEORGIA and FLORIDA, and lias already sold near one hundred mills in the South, I West and Middle Counties of Georgia, and the cn- 1 couragement lie has received, and the satisfaction the I mills have generally given, induces him to extend bis ! operations into South Carolina and Georgia in the vi cinity of Augusta. April 26, 1847. Mr. James Van Valkenburs'h, Dear Sir; — 1 have tried your Fitzgerald Patent ' Mill, for grinding corn, and have found it to answer admirably. No planter that is not in tbe vicinity of a i public mill ought to be without one, if he can afford to purchase, and bis family is sufficiently large to re quire the use of it, otherwise, 1 would suggest that several farmers of a neighborhood should uni’e to purchase one in common, which being established in a central position, would be accessible to all. Very respectfully, yours, G. M. TROUP. Albany, Baker Co.. Ga., May 22, 1547. Dear Sir; I have purchased one of your Fitz gerald Patent Burr-stone Corn Mills, ami am perfect ly satisfied that it would be greatly to the interest of any planter who is notin the immediate vicinity of a good public mill, to purchase one, being simple in its construction, and durable in material, and easily pro pelled by the same gear and power used in ginning otton. Yours, respectfully, ALEX. B. LAWTON. Twiggs County, May 17, 1347. Mr. Fun Valkenburgh. Sir :—ln answer to yours of the I4th inst., I take pleasure in stating that the Mill you put up lor me performs admirably—l am better pleased than I ex pected to be—l would not sell it for any price and be obliged to do without one. 1 have ground in one day with it, with my gin gear, forty bushels of good meal, and 1 advise every man that is able, to purchase one. R. W. RADFORD. Demopolis, Ala., March 28, 1847. Mr. James Fun Valkenburch , Dear Sib Your last, dated March, 12th inst., came duly to hand. I was then daily exporting the Mill, but did not receive it until the 15th instant. Since then I made a fair trial, and I need not tell you that I found it everything you recommended it to'bc, and more too. I ground nearly all day, at the rate of •even bushels per hour* of fine meal. Yours, very respectfully, O. R. SHORTWELL. * This Mill was propelled by steam. my 2. IV. W. MONTHLY BULLETIN NO. 3. «TII IS WORLD has rer bean the scene of the icrcest Ftruggloe between j ruth and error. Nosnon l doeMruth ptropound an ! rious instance gs this was he opposition made to the minortai Jennek. His i naster mind was led, un- 1 let Providence, to the 1 j discovery of Vaccination, by which that dreadful j ! scourge, the Small Pox, was robbed of its terrors. He found that the matter from the pustules upon the udder of a cow contained a principle which would produce the almost divine results for which he h id so patiently and anxiously sought. Opposition arose. I Interested persons, high in .-'jcial rank and prose ion al position, ridiculed what they dared not deny ! ’ They asserted that many vaccinated persons became j covered with hair, and even exhibited horns and rC tail; and that in one case a child ran on all-fours, 1 bellowing like a bull. But the current was soon i turned. The British Parliament voted biin jt20,000 sterling, (§100,000), and the world sang his praises, 7Ytc same spirit has come doirn to our oirn limes. I Even while we write this Bulletin, interested per | sons, jealous of the wonderful efficacy and suc cess of THE GRAEFENBERG MEDICINES, are opposing them. Misguided men ! How utterly | impossible to arrest their spread. The most extraor dinary certificates are constantly flowing in to the Company from all parts of the country ; certificates which have astonished the most respectable citizens. Many of these testimonials have been submitted to gentlemen of great distinction, who have carefully examined them to see that they are genuine. Among these ore the names of the Rev. N. Bangs, D.D., of the Methodist Episcopal Church, and Francis Hall, [ Esq., editor of the New York Commercial Adveriser. j We finally sufrnitted the whole to the Hon. Wm. V. ! Bhadv, the Mayor of New York, who has given his certificate, under the Great Seal of the City, that they : are genuine and reliable. With such names, we fear no opjioeition. We are | fortified at every point, and solicit a continuance of • the unexampled patronage we have already received. I We would earnestly advise — Ist. That in every neighborhood where there is no ! Graefenberg Depot, immediate steps be taken to have one. By addressing the General Agent of any dis trict, they can be secured. 2d. Families should club together and get an im mediate supply. 3d.
