There will be preaching regularly t in the Christian Chapel, on Reynold St. every LORD’S DAY at half past 10 A. M., and at 7 P. M. by Elder S. J. Pinkerton, late Pastor of the Christian Church in Frankfort, Ky. n 23 Up Beware of Imposition.--The greater the value of any discovery, the higher it is held in the esteem of the public, and so much in proportion is that public liable to be imposed upon by the spurious imitations of ignorant, designing and dishonest men, who, like the drone in the hive, have neither the abil ity nor inclination to think or provide for themselves, but thrive and luxuriate upon the earnings of the de serving. The extraordinary success attending the use of this medicinedn diseases of the lungs, and the many singu lar cures it has effected, have naturally attracted the attention of many physicians, as well as the whole fra ternity of quacks —and caused unprincipled counter feiters and imitators to palm off spurious mixtures, of similar name and appearance, of the genuine Balsam. Some are called “ Syrup of Wild Cherry and Tar, ” “ Cherry Syrup, ” “ Compound Syrup of Wild Cher ry, ” “ Wild Cherry Comfrey, ” and Sundry other compounds ; to which they attach a long string of “ putfs. ” But of such nostrums we know no'hing. It is Wistar's Balsam of Wild Cherry alone that perforins the cures. Let them not deceive you. Up None genuine unless signed I. Butts, on the wrapper.
