DR. PETERS’ VEGETABLE ANTI
BILIOUS PILLS,—The only well establish
ed cure yet discovered for Bilious Fevers and Bile
in all its forms, Dyspepsia, Colic, Impurity of the
Blood, <fec. r 3
Other medicines purify the blood already in circu
lation, leaving the fountain-head untouched; so that
the good effect cannot be lasting. But Dr. Peters'
Pills produce perfect health and cleanliness in the
region of the chyle , of which the blood is made ;
and hence the vital fluid is filtered —and flows in a
state of purity from its very source—which ensures a
permanency of health.
Dr. Peters' Pills stand alone as a positive substi
tute for Calomel and Blue Pills; for they act like
magic on Liver, and remove all superfluity of bile
with a certainty that is beyond question, and never
ends in disappointment. Indeed, whenever Calomel
has failed to dislodge the Bile, Peters’ Pills have at
once effected it. And hence—since their fame has
been established—Mercury has been but rarely re
sorted to for that purpose.

rru T RE ™BLICATION OP
J he London Qumerly Review.
2£e Edinburg Review.
The North British Review
The Westminster Review,’ and
Blackwood’s Edinburgh Maga-
ZINE.
The wide-spread fame of these splendid periodi
eals renders it needless to say much in their praise. -
As literary organs, they stand far in advance of any
works of a similar stamp now published, while the
political complexion of each is marked by a dignity,
candor, and forbearance, not often found in works of
a party character.
They embrace the views of the three great parties
in England—Tory, Whig and Radical—Black wood
and the London Quarterly are Tory; the Edinburgh
Review, Whig; and the Westminster Review Radi
cal. The North British Review is more of a reli
gious character, having been originally edited by Dr.
Chalmers, and now, since his death, being conducted
by his son-in-law, Dr. Hanna, associated with Sir
David Brewster. Its literary character is of the
very highest order. Th&»‘ Westminster,’ though re
printed under that title only, is published in England
under the title of the Foreign Quarterly and West
minster, it being in fact a union ol the two Reviews
formerly published and reprinted under separate ti
bles. It has, therefore, the advantage by this combi
tation, of uniting in one work the best featuies of
both as heretofore issued.
The above Periodicals are reprinted in New York,
immediately on their arrival by the British steamers,
in a beautiful clear type, on fine white paper, and are
faithful copies of the originals, Blackwood’s Magazine
being an exact sac-simile of the Edinburgh edition.

EARLY COPIES.
Our late arrangement with the British publishers
of Blackwood’s Magazine secures to us early sheets
of that work, by which we are enabled to place the
entire number in the hands of subscribers before any
portion of it can be reprinted in any of the American
journals. For this and other advantages secured to
our subscribers, we pay so large a consideration, that
we may be compelled to raise the price of the maga
zine. Something may therefore be gained by sub
scribing early.
