Weekly Report Tuesday,?. M. COTTON.—The receipts of Colton at Augusta and Hamburg since the Ist of August have been 600 bales. The shipments for the same period to Charles ton about 2,000 bales, and to Savannah about 1200 bales; reducing the stock about 2400 bales, and leav ing on hand to-day in both places about’l2,4oo bales. During the past week one bale of new Cotton has been received in Hamburg, and the quality was said to be Fair, it was sold at 11 cents. The business of the week has been very quiet. On Wednesday buyers required a concession of a full Jc., but as holders were not willing to make it the sales of the day reached only 250 bales at a decline ol Jc. from the selling, and Jc, from the asking price. On Thursday the market was quiet, and on Friday the accounts of the Hibernia being at hand, holders gen erally withdrew their stocks and sales on that day and Saturday reached only about 200 bales at the full decline of Jc. from the highest point. On Monday and to-day there was nothing done, holders having generally withdrawn from the market, awaiting fur ther accounts from Liverpool. The sales of the week reach about 600 bales at the following prices : viz : 7f a 9jc. We quote : Inferior to ordinary 7J a Good ordinary to middli "g 8f a 8| Good middling 9 a— Middling fair 9| a—- Pair to fully fair 9g a— Good fair and choice —a The prospect of the growing crop is represented to be improving very considerably in the high lands of middle Georgia, but in the lower sections of the State the accounts are still very discouraging to the plan ters. We have had warm and dry weather for the past week and showers are wanted in some sections to prevent the bolls and blooms from perishing. As regards the crops of the Western States we refer to the accounts published this week. By our Liverpool dates received per the Hibernia trie imports of the week were only 33,000 bales, mak ing a total import since the let January of 1,438,000 bales, of which 1,230,000 bales were from the United States. The total export to Great Britain from the United States, by our tables up to the latest dates, reach 1 536,248 bales from the Ist September, of which about 160,000 bales were received before the Ist January, making a receipt up to the sailing of the Hibernia of 1,390,000 bales of our exports, leaving on the way only 146,248 bales, from which is to be deducted the shipments toother ports of Great Bri tain, the receipt of which we only get in the yearly statement; and our stock being very light will nearly all be wanting for our home consumption, for export to Prance, Spain and other points of Europe, and very little more can be shipped to Great Britain until the the new crop is received; and from present prospects the backward state of the crop wdl prevent shipments of the new crop being re ceived in Liverpool to any extent before the Ist of Jan uary, 1850.
