Terr —Dear Sir —It is with great pleasure i that I comply with my promise, when in Augusta, to in form you what effects your Extract of Sarsaparilla had on i ray disease. j Jt is at all times pleasant to testify to the good qualities of any body or any thing, that we know to be meritorious, hut. far more so, when we can speak of a remedy which i has rid us of a disease, which divested life of all comfort. On my passage to this place I suffered very much : the ; pains in my limbs were at times so severe that 1 couid not i sleep for whole nights, the swelling of the bones increased, and I must confess that I would have thrown your prepara i tkm aside had you not recommended it, with so much con , fidence. 1 persevered, and when I had finished the second I bottle, the pains began to grow less severe, the swellings to j go down, and my appetite and strength began to retard. I I have taken the half dozen bottles, and 1 consider myself i perfectly restored, and can walk five miles with less fa | tiguc, than I could a half, bes re. I shall ever be grateful i to you, and you have my permission to make this public, in order that any who have suffered so much as I hare, from the imprudences of youth, may know where to find relief. PERHAPS there is nothing more calculated to disgust the public eye than the innumerable advertisements of the nostrums that are constantly appearing in the public prints. All are ready to exclaim. Our souls are sick, our ears are pained with every days reports of ills and speci fics. This state of the public mind would seem to forbid any person of delicate mind from sending forth any new dis coveries m medicine to the trial of the public: still motive* of delicacy should not prevent us from making known real discoveries, which we are confident will benefit our tellow men. This latter consideration has prompted the author of these Bitters to make them known. He knows they are highly efficacious, for he himself, his wife, and many friends have given them a thorough trial. He was, for many years, a confirmed dyspeptic—so much so that even his recollec tion was gone, but by the use of these Bitters he has been restored to perfect health. This has been the case with many of his friends. The proprietor, in sending forth this advertisement, addresses those who know him. He has been, for many years, a resident of Augusta, but at this time of Hamburg, 8. C.,at which place be can, at any time, be consulted about the Bitters. They are good in all cases of diseases of the digestive organs, the symptoms of which are, indigestion, pain or oppression in the stomach from food, loss of appetite, flatulency, hegrt-biiru, giddiness in the head, palp in tlie slde t shortness of breath, lassitude, general weakness, disturbed sleep, Ac. The composition is entirely Botanical, and has proved efficacious, where many celebrated medicines had failed; in support of which he could give reference to a number of persons, who have made a trial of it, but deeips it unnecessary, as he is willing to place jt on its own merits. All he asks is for those who are afflicted with dyspepsia to give it a trial. The above Bitters can be had at O. COSBY’S Hamburg, S. €., and at Dr. WM. U. TUTT’S Drug Store, Broad street, Augusta. fe29 A UL PERHONB are forwarned against trading for* -lx. certain Promissory NOTE, given by Mr. John A.
