AUGUSTA MARKUP, i W eekly Report Tuesday, I*. 51 COTTON—The market on Wednesday and Thursday last was inactive, and prices yielded an 3« th cent on all de scriptions. On Friday a more active demand sprung up, and prices recovered, with large sales ; and on Saturday price.- v -re maintained, though the operations were not so large. The news by the Niagara came to hand Saturday night, reporting Vd- decline in the Liverpool market, which had the'effect of unsettling our market so completely, that yesterday and to-day there has scarcely been any transac tions. The sales show a decline of to X c - on a * ! descrip, tions, but prices arc so scattering and the operations so limited, that we cannot give quotations. RECEIPTS TO LATESTTIA’i r.S, 1852. 1831. BARBER & CO,, Managers, n 2 Washington-atreet, RHEUMATISM CAN BE CURED ! iirE now have for sale that celebrated remedy, MOR > * TIMORE’S RHEUMATIC COMPOUND and BLOOD : PURIFIER, which has gained such great popularity where «ver introduced, as the only apedfic .-:nown for the es ! feet ual cure of this painful disease. This remedy has al j ready cured thousands of cases, comprising every seeming i form of this complaint, from the inflammatory (acute) I form, attended with swellings and enlargement of the joints, I to old chronic case? of from ten to twenty and thirty : yearn' standing. Those who had for years resorted to the various celebrated springs, h id trie 1 ali the liniments and external applications, and been under ’reatment of some of the ablest physicians both in this country and Europe, and were pronounced incurable; still, after all these ef ' forts had failed, tin’s compound has cured them. Many who have been cripples, cither hobbling upon crutches or confined to their beds for years, certify to a complete and permanent cure by the use of this remedy. We have not space, in a newspaper advertisement, to in - sert but a small portion of the accumulated evidence in its I behalf. This eviden e comes from sources which must in spire confidence in every mind. The conductors of high toned public journals have published to the world its won derful and beneficial efleets upon themselves and these around them, and in some instances speak of hundreds of cures. Physicians have resorted to it, and certify that, even in extreme cases, where consultations had been held. I mnri »hojr ho-l -1.-oi-lo* rfr/>T ery, even then, they procured this medicine and adminis ; tered it, and it effected a complete cure. Ministers of va- I rious denominations have written and published what it 1 has done for themselves and their friends; while mer j chants, officers, mechanics, and private citizens, have fur . nished volumes of evidence of the highest character, such ■ as accompanies no other preparation iu Arnei ica. We most respectfully ask those who are afflicted to send I to the agent in their vicinity and get a circular, and read : the letters and certificates of Rev. Jas. Mitchell, R-v. N. I G. Berrvman, Rev. J. H. Linn, Ke . J. M. Kelly, Rev. R. A. Colburn, and other clergymen ; while we add the names of Hen. J. Smith, late President cf the Bank of the State of Missouri; Geo. O. Atherton, officer in the Bank in St. Louis; Messrs. Jas. 11. Eddy, 8. Downing, A. Holland, 0. tV. Stone, J. W. Christy. Joseph Southack, with other prominent merchants of St. Louis, as also vast numbers of other citizens. This is home evidence, and these are living vMnetses, where this great remedy was first introduced, and where many thousands have been cured during the last two years. The proprietors have now epen-dthur Great Cen tral Office at No. 1 Barclay street, (Astor House,) in the city of New York, where all orders for this medicine will be promptly attended to.
