Baltimore, May I.— The ship G. .W. Garmany, belonging to William Wilson & Ron’s lino of packets, and bound from this port lor Liverpool, went ashore yesterday on Currituck Beach, oil' Cape Henry. Her cargo is being landed in good order. The ship, it is thought, will be saved. She is valued at $70,000, and is fully insured in this city and New York. Charleston, April 31.—The ship Windcmore, which arrivod at Now Orleans on Monday, had four hundred passengers, among whom there were thirty cases of small pox and twelve deaths during the passage. New Yore, May I.— There has been r great flood on Norwalk Kiver, add the bridges, wharves and factories are damaged to the amount of upwards of $40,000. Three bridges on the Danbury auj Norwalk Railroad have been washed away with considerable damage to the track. The Eastern and Western telegraph lines from this city are all prostrated, and the railroads inter rupted in all directions Irom the storm. The great freshets, landslides, «fcc., are likely to interrupt travel for some days. Montgomery, May 2.— The vicinity of Natchez, Miss., and a p >rtion of South Alabama were visit ed by snow and a heavy Frost on Sunday last.— Much of the young cotton was killed by the re markable severity of the weather. Louisville, May 2. —Frankfort, our State Capi tol, lias just been the theatre of a destructive firo. No corn ct estimate of the amount of property con sumed has as yet been arrived at. LIVERPOOL, April 18.—We have no new feature in our Cotton market worthy of much notice, a slightly improved tone having been apparent the last two days, though with the increased bnsiness there is in some few quarters a de termination to realise, and occasional low sales have been made.
