Died, at the residence of her son, James Coleman, in

Mrs. HARRIET COLEMAN, in the ninety third year of
her ge, leaving dcscendan.softhe third generation, and
many friends to mourn her bss.
Reared it. the ‘‘times that tried men’s souls,” she ac
quired a constitution that was vulnerable only to the
shafts of time ; so, also, were her mental powers—her
powers of memory she retained in an enrnent decree; so
much so, that a few years befoi e hr * <2 ath, though her
brow was bleached by the frosts of nearly a century, and
her physical frame stooping to the grave, the w.lter heard
her rel ite with accuracy incidents of the battle of Hanging
Rock, which she witnessed from her m.ther’s residence.
She"was, indeed, a woman in all those ennobling qualities
which constitute true worth in the tex —k'nd, r table and
agreeable, she endeared herself to all who knew her. To
the yUDg especially, was she an agreeable companion;
ana many there are who recollect with what pleasure they
have listened to her remink. ;ences of the o’ len time.
Asa Ctiristhn, the was indeed “a Mother in Israel.”
She sought and found the favor of the I yrd in early life,
and united herself to the Baptist Church, of which she
was ever after a pious and consistent member ; so that
with au humble reliance in the merits of tie Saviour, she
k enabled to say to her friends whilst upon the waves
oftheJord nos death, “Ween not for me, I shall be at

The HYDROMAGEN is a valuable discovery for pro
tecting the feet from damp or cold, and therefore a pre
ventative ol many Lung diseases, without any doctoring
whatever. The Hydromagen is in tne torm of a soie, and
worn inside the boot or shoe. Its medicated caaracter is
a powerful antidote to ulsease.
gjFor Gentlemen it will be found agreeable, warm, and
healthy, to wear in the coldest or rainiest weather, s the
foot cannot tecome wet if the Hydromagen is inserted
Ladies may wear the lightest soled Boots or Shoes in the
most inclement weather with impunity; while v/onsump
tion, so prevalent among the young of our country, may be
thwarted by their general adoption. They entirely super
sede over-shoes, as theiatter cause the feet to perspire in
a Very unhealthy manner; and, besides, are net dange
rous wear to pedestrians in icy weather, like India Rub
bers. While the Utter cause the feet to appear extremely
large, the Hydromagen, being a mere thin slice of Cork
prepared, peculiarly placed inside, does not mcrea-e the
size cf the boot, or cause the foot to appear untidy To
Children they are extremely valuable, as they may en
gage in exer ise with eomiort and healthy effects. Their
expense is so slight as to scarce need menti n; besi es,
those who patronize them will find their yearly doctor's
hills much diminished thereby.
As the Hydromagen is becoming more known, its sale is
increasing to an almost incrediole extent. Last year in
London, Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, Glasgow,
Leeds, Dublin, Paris, Antwerp, Hamburgh and B.rliu, our
sales reached 1,732,450 pairs of Cork Soles. This year the
number wdl far surpass that
Ask the Facul y their opinion of their value as a pre
ventative for Coughs, Colds, Bronchitis, Asthma and Con
sumption.

Notice —Frcm ti e retail prices we make a very liberal

THE CHEST.
SIR ABTT.KY COOPER, B \RT., M. D., the emi
nent Medical Practitioner, has left a valuable legacy
to the world in his great preventative of Cornu-option, and
unfailing cure for Pulmonary Diseases, without the use of
Medicine. Sir A. C., Bai t , invented and aa ised the use
of the MEDICATED FUR CHEST PROTECTOR, to all
persons of ad ages and conditiorff, as a certain ana a safe
shieid avainst those fearful diseases, Consumption, Bron
chitis, Asthma, Coughs, Colds aud other affiicti ns of the
Lungs, which arise from the exposed state of the chest, ac
cording to fashion , and the continual changes of our cli
mate.
*• The Protector ” is simply a chemically prepared Fur,
lined with sila ; nd pa ded, which, suspended from the
neck, covers the chest, in soagree> bie a manner that, once
worn, it becomes a necessity and a comfort.
“ The Protector,” aUbough but recent y introduced into
America is tanking rapid pi ogress through the U. States,
the Cau idas, South America, and he West Indies. It ha
for a tong time been a staple article in Kr gland and on the
continent of Europe, while it has grown in many countries
to the poslti nos an article of dress.
To demonstrate the.-e lacss enquire cf any English resi
dent in your vicinity of his knowledge of the beneficial ef
fects of wearing the Protector, without recourse to doctor
ing of any kind The cost of wearing these articles is a
mere trifle, and one will last some years. No one who
values the health 01 himself or his fam ly will be without
them. The Hospitals in ihis couutry at e not alone recom
mending them, but rapidty introducing them. Harcourt,
Bracley k .0.,0f Loudo i, and Manches.er, England, were
original y entrusted with the mauulacture of the Prottc
tors, by ihe lamented lir. Coone r , and oontin. eto manu
facture according to his original instructions, and theie
