To all and lingular the Justices of the several Inferior Courts, and other Justices, Clerks of Court, Sheriffs and Constables in the reTpeftive Counties of this State, aud to all Attornies at Law, and other Ferfons whom it may concern, Greeting'* WHEREAS Aiitn Rae, administratrix of the estate and effefta of James Rae, late of Richmond county, Esquire, deceased, (which said Ann Rae hath since in termarried with John Cobhifon, of the fame place, merchant) has, by her humble petition, reprsfented unto us that several suits at law are now commenced against her, and that (he is threatened with many others, to the very' great damage of the estate of the said James Rae-, and praying an Injunction to flay pro ceedings at law against her for twelve months, whereby (he may be the better enabled to ad just the concerns of the said deceased, and to make collections to fatisfy the creditor's of the aforefaid James Rae : And whereas, by ** An Ad to amend, explain and continue, the Ad for regulating the Judiciary Departments of this State,** the Judges of the Superior Courts afe duly authorifed to grant such Injunction, upon' the application of any executor or ad miniftratdr, who (hall appear, in justice and equity to be entitled to the fame: , tfow, therefore , by virtue of the said powers in us vested, (the fame also appearing just and equitable) We do command and iujoin you and each of you, aud all others whom it may concern, that, from all farther proceed ings at law against the said John and Ann Cobbifon, or either of them, as administra trix or adminiftfttorS of the estate of the' aforefaid James Rae, you aud every of yoii v do desist ands cease, until the expiration o if twelve months from the date hereof; and this’ under the pains, penalties and forfeitures, for a contempt.
