the South, whether they come under the specious

tent weapon of attack, the Southern people will

BARBOUR COUNTY LANDS
FOR sale.
HAVING purchased land in tiie West, I now
offer for taje both my plantations, lying on
[ the North Cowikee Creek. The place on which
i 1 now reside, known as the Barna Ivey Plantation
| contains 2,475 acies, with a large proportion of
| fresh and Hammock land. Th rearoon theplan
! tatiori 1,4000 acres cleared, and in a line state of
cultivation, thoroughly drained, with a large num
! her ot well located ditches. The dwelling is
i commodious, having C large rooms, neatly finish
i ed, and is situated within the corporate limits of
! Glennviile, convenient to the Colleges and
| Churches. 1 lie out houses are in good repair and
j sufficient for the accommodation of 100 negroes.
On th s place, are two new gin houses, one of
which is propelled by water power, to which is
! attached a grist mill, all in good order,

tion’, recently owned by ( 01. W. H* Owens, con
taining 901 acres. The dwelling, out houses, gin
1 house and screw are all new and well finished,
and equally convenient to Glennviile. Being de
termined to sell, 1 would not object to dividing
my lands to suit purchasers. To those acquainted
with these lauds i need not say more—to those at
a distance, I would say that they cannot be ex
| celled in point of health or productiveness in east
Alabama.
Glennviile is noted for the morality,intelligence
and refinement of its citizens. It is situated 12
I miles from the Mobile and Girard Railroad, 6
| miles from Jomigan, a steamboat landing on the
Chattalioochie river, and 16 miles irom Eufaula,
to which point the .South'Western Railroad of
