about 5 feet 2 inches high, yellow and has a

inst. a man who calls himseifGeorge, says he be
longs to James Kennedy of Tennessee near
Huntsville. George is about 6 feet 7 inches high
Dark Complection and about 26 or 28 years old.

night, and robbed, by picking the lock of
i the Teller’s Vault, of five thousand four hundred

prehension and seeming of the robbers, and the
money, or a proportionate reward for the re
covery of any part thereof. It is believed the
greater part of the money stolen is in small

new principle of applying Animal power. wht< h
I call the Accelerator; the discription of this
machine is such that it can be applyed to Mill*
generally, where animalpower can be applied.
I offer the following statement to the public to
show that I have proved the power of my ma
chine, I erected a temporary sa.wimill, with one
saw, to which I put 2 horses, (the horses were not
accustomed to work in a circle, j and sawed thro’
a fourteen inch log with more ea*e tb»n two
horses.can Gin in the common mode of applica
tion; the horses being removed, eight men worked
the machine, and cut at the rate of thirteen hun
dred >ii e hty feet per day.—Say that one third
of the time is lost in returning the log an.: put
ting on fresh logs, the machine is then adequate
to saw eight or nine hundred feet por day tfith
two horse*.
