The Proprietors nf this Institution, im» pressed with the belief that there is no place in the Southern country, which' combines more advantages for a permanent School, are resolv ed to neglect no means to render it in the high est egree useful, and woi thy of publie confi dence aud patronage. With this view, they have determined at much expense, to alter and improve the buildings in such a manner, as to aflord every accommodation both to the Teucb ers ami Pupils. To those who are acquainted with the location, it is unnecessary to say, that the climate is as pure as in any section of tl a Southern country. The health of the place is proverbial. So far as the advantages of good society may be considered as giving it a claim to public encouragement, it is believe I there is no Seminary, which, in this respect, stands upen higher ground. Believing it to be of the highest importance to the pupil, both as respects bis moral deportment aud literary a d vancemen* thai;he should be as much as possible under the immediate tuition of the Teachers, arrange ments have been made, at no small expense by the subset ilcr, to accommodate with board’ in his own family, those pupils whose parents and gnardians may wish to avail themselves of those advantages By tins arrangement, the Teach ers wilt be able to devote their whole time, both in and out of School, to the instruction of their pupils, l.t addition to the branches Usually taug it in English and Classic Schools, the scho lar may be qualified, if desired, to commence with ad vantage the study of any of the learned professions.
