in the different branches of English education will re

Bank of Georgia.
It being deemed expedient by the Board ot Directors,
that another Instalment of the Stock of the Bank of the
State of Georgia should be culled in, and that the Stock
holders should be required to pay a proportion thereof
in specie.
Notice is hereby given, that, agreeably to a resolution
of the Directors of this date, twenty-three per centum
on each share, of the'Stock of the Bank, is required to
be paid by the Stockholders, on or before the second
Monday in December next; that five dollars, in specie,
be paid on each share, as part of the said twenty-three
per cent, and the balance in bills of either of the Banks
of Georgia.
- The Stockholders are further notified, that Cashier’s
Certificates of Stock will be issued n lieu of die Com
missioners’ Certificates, held by the Stockholders, upon
the delivery of the Comm.saioncrs’ Certificates, at the
time of paying the Instalment, as above required.
Western Stockholders are informed,, that they may pay
said Instalment, and receive then - Stock Certificates, on
delivering the Commissioners’ Certificates, at either of
the Offices established at Augusta and Miiledgeviiie, so

BANK OF GEORGIA.
Whereas, it is represented, that it will be more con
venient to many of the Stockholders, that the time pre-
Aribed for the payment of the Instalment of twenty-
three per cent, which includes the five per cent of specie,
directed by the board, on the 20th September, 1816,
^louid be extended.
Resolved unanimously, That the time be, and the same is
hereby extended t" the second Monday in January next,
and that the Cashier give notice, that the said Instalment
is required to be paid on or before the said second Mon
day in January next.

frust funds of the late Bank of the United States, as the
proprietors of bank-notes, or of dividends upon stock,
either of capital or interest, and in general to all the
Creditors of the said bank or trust of whatsoever des
cription, that unless their claims are presented for set
tlement before the 4th day of March, 1817, when the
term of six years from the creation of the said trust will
have expired, the trustees will not feel themselves ob
liged to make opposition to any decree or order of
Court, -which may be obtained for the distribution among
the stockholders of the amount hitherto reserved to sa

Advertisement.
Runaway from the subscriber, on the fifth May last, a
negro woman named LUCY, about 5 feet, 2 or o inches
high, thin visage, a scar on one of her cheeks, from 40
to 45 years old, speaks smooth and plain, and pretty
good English. Any person who will deliver her to me,
or to anv gaol in Georgia or South-Carolina, shall receive
a reward of twenty dollars, to be paid by
Moses Horton.

dressed in white cotton hoipespun.
