The members of the Grand Lodge of Georgia, and the
dificrent iodgesj^nder its jurisdiction by their proper
representatives, are summoned to attend at their lodge
room* in the Exchange, on the first.Saturday of Decem
ber nexit. at t o’clock, p. x. being a grand quarterly com
munication for the election of officers and other business

Bank of Georgia.
It being deemed expedient by the Board of Directors,
that another Instalment of the Stock of the Bank of the
Jtate of Georgia should be called in, and that the Stock-
y\ holders shahid be required to pay a proportion thereof
In specie.
Notice is hereby given, that, agreeably to ^resolution
af the Directors of this date, twenty-three per centum
en each share, of tlie Stock of the Bank, is required to
be paid! by the Stockholders, on of before the second
Monday in December'lie xt; that five dollars, in specie,
be paid on each share, as part of the said twenty-three
per cent, and the balance in bills of either of the Banks
of Georgia. v
The Stockholders are further notified, that Cashier’s
Certificates of Stock will be issued m lieu of the Com-
lhiss loners’ Certificates, held by the Stockholders, uport
the delivery of the Commissioners’ Certificates, at the
time of paying the Instalment, as above required.
Western Stockholders are informed, that they may pay
said Instalment, and receive their Stock Certificates, on
delivering the Commissioners’ Certificates, at either of
the Offices established at Augusta and Miliedgeville, so
soon as they shall be in operation, which willl be in a

Whereas, it is represented, that it will be more con
venient to many of the Stockholders, that the time pre
scribed for -he payment of the Instalment of twenty-
three per cent, which includes the five per cent of specie,
•directed by the board, on the 20th September, 1816,

hereby extended to the second Monday in January next,
and that the Qushiergive notice, that the said Instalment
is required to be paid on or before the said second Mon
day in January next.

From the British ship Lord Wellington, on Thursday
night last, supposed by runaway sailors, a carvel built
JOLLY" BOAT, with oars and sails, length, 18 feet;
breadth, 5 feet 6 inches; depth, 2 feet 6 inches; plank,
three quarters of an inch t'nick; timber, If inch square;
had no wash streak, painted black top sides, with a
white bottom, green inside. _
/Thirty Dollars reward will he paid to any one who
will deliver said boat alongside the Lord Wellington,

Conformably to a resolution of Council, I shall pro
ceed on Friday, the 29th instant, to sell the STALLS
in the beef and small meat Market, also, the Stalls in
the new vegetable Market, under the inspection of the
Market committee.

please call on or before that day and pay up, or their

October, 1816, in Savannah, a negro man named Bachus,
who says he belongs to Mrs. Gibbons, of Camden coun
ty. He is about thirty years of age, and five feet ten
inches high, slender made, has had a ball shot through
bis right arm, and has lost the little finger of his right

feet six inches high, and eighteen years old. Has on a

feet five inches high, and eighteen years of age. He is
dressed in white cotton homespun.

Stop the Runaway.
The subscriber will give ten dollars for apprehending
and returning my apprentice lad, JOHN G. PHELPS,
who absconded himself on the night of the nth inst he
is of rather a dark complexion, blue eyes, about 5 feet 4
inches high, between i8 and .9 years of age, had on a
blue cloth coat and black cloth pantaloons—he has serv
ed at the shoemaking trade, and is a pretty good workman;
therefore all mechanics are forbid harboring or employ
ing said apprentice. a
N. B. All masters of vessels are forbid harboring or
carrying him out of the state, as thelaw will be enforced
against all and every person so transgressing.
