Tho rocont negotiation of Pennsylvania loans furnishing an increased sup ply of Sterling has tended to a slight depression of Foreign Exchanges and diminished shipments of coin. Tho sooson of business having so far pro gressed as to bring us nearer to a full supply of sterling from our exports of Cotton, it is not proba ble that coin will bo required so largoly as Was anticipated, and this will effect tho monoy market favorably. Of those vossols 15,454, of 1,430,172 tons, wero British, and 3,420, of 548,669 tons, foreign. The chief movement was on tho Welland, where tbo tonnage was 772/523; the next on the St. Law- rcnco, where it was 626/210.
